With Unmute, Parallelle combines their unmistakably groovy, dynamic, and powerful sound with French techno chief Nicolas Masseyeff. First touched by the musical bug in 1989, Nicolas Masseyeff has built a solid over nearly three decades. Starting as the owner of Southern France’s most respected record store before moving into DJing and production full- time, Masseyeff has released music via Stephan Bodzin’s Herzblut Recordings, Marc Romboy’s Systematic, Agoria’s Sapiens, and the collaborative label with Oxia, Diversions Music (amongst others).

Unmute is a sonic throwback to the power of melody and lyrical mystery. Whether in its original or dub forms, it is an oscillating journey into the funky, supremely danceable sound Parallelle is known for, with the mature touch of Masseyeff’s innate ear for atmosphere and warmth. Remix duties on the track come from Rotterdam’s Philou Louzoulo. A local hero and another DGTL favourite, the Wokoundow Music head-honcho amps up the energy for high-powered interpretations perfectly constructed for the kind of intergalactic dance floors
